Swimming Achievements and Percentages
December 2020
We are very pleased to announce that despite the difficulties with swimming sessions due to the national pandemic, by December 2020:
90% of the Year 6 cohort can swim competently and confidently over a distance of 25m.
90% of the Year 6 cohort can use a range of strokes effectively.
90% of the Year 6 cohort can perform a safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.
The swimming instructor said: "Even though it has been a difficult and challenging year due to Covid-19, the class have worked extremely hard!"
We are very proud of Year 6. Well done!
Academic Year 2019-2020
Due to the National pandemic, children were unable to attend swimming lessons after February 2020. The following figures are accurate up until this date.
By February 2020:
48% of our Year 6 children were able to swim 25 metres.
39% of our Year 6 children had achieved water safety.
Academic Year 2018 - 2019
At the end of this academic year:
97% of our Year 6 children were able to swim 25 metres.
81% of our Year 6 children had achieved water safety.
