Want to know what's new this month?

Oliver Jeffers has a beautiful new illustrated book out in August, which is aimed at 1-3 year olds.

This is the first funny tale in an entertaining series of picture books about this merry band of characters. Vibrant illustrations and bold blocks of colour provide lots of visual appeal. A delightful celebration of friendship and happiness, which is sure to elicit plenty of giggles. Aimed at children aged 4+

Organised into seven sections (Having a Ball, Taking Aim, Splashing Around, Fighting Fit, Pushing the Limits, Making a Racket and Riding High), this amusing and interesting book is a great place to start for primary school age children interested in learning more about the great variety of Olympic and Paralympic sports, from Judo to Artistic Gymnastics and everything inbetween. Aimed at age 7+

The third book in the Unmapped Kingdoms series by Abi Elphinstone (the fourth, including Everdark, the prequel) reads very well on its own or as part of the series, so readers could easily pick the story up here at its dramatic conclusion, or earlier in the cycle. Aimed at ages 9+
