What did the Ancient Greeks do for us?

We have been designing and making our own Greek vases today using clay. Have a look at some of our super creations below.
Democracy
This week, we learnt about how the Ancient Greeks created the democracy that we still enjoy in the UK today. Class 5 discovered that the word 'democracy' is Ancient Greek for 'the people rule'.
We decided to have our own experience of democracy in our class, and some children decided to run for the role of our class president. We formed teams to create campaigns and deliver speeches to the class before we put it to a vote!
