Phonics games

Please use the following links with your child to help them develop their recall of the graphemes (written sounds) we have been learning in phonics. There are also some phonics songs under the 'our favourite songs' tab.

We have now completed Levels 2 and 3 and next half term we will move on to Level 4.

These are the rhymes that our Twinkl phonics scheme uses to teach the children letter formation. These may also help at home.

All you need for this game is a mixing bowl and wooden spoon. You can add any objects from around the house. Challenge- Can you find anything with the Level 3 sounds in as your magic ingredient?

Blending Bingo Here's a game the children are familiar with from learning in school. How about trying to set a 1 minute timer to see how many words you can read together before the alarm sounds?

Bicnic on Pluto Feed the real words to Obb and the nonsense words to Bob. What will your score be?

Buried treasure Drag the coins with real words on them to the treasure chest and the coins with nonsense words on them to the bin.
