The Turkey that voted for Christmas

Sycamore class enjoyed looking at the Christmas themed text which has strong links with Britains voting system and the current situation regarding Brexit. 

 

We discussed What if Santa hadn't arrived and Farmer Carver didn't leave on the sleigh? 

 

Children have been asked as an optional piece of writing, for homework, to get in role as one of the Christmas Turkeys and write to Farmer Carver to persuade him not to eat them. The children can write a letter, email, balanced argument, explanation text - whatever they think will work best to persuade the farmer!
