Persuasive Adverts
This week we have been using persuasive techniques to sell different types of houses. We learned how to use rhetorical questions, exaggeration, and positive language in order to engage our reader.
National Poetry Week
For National Poetry Week, we explored quatrain poems. Quatrain poems have four lines with a rhyming pattern of AABB or ABAB. We created a quatrain about Autumn as a class before writing our own poems.
Autumn Autumn is so much fun,
it comes around when summer's done.
When marshmallows are toasting
and hot, delicious dinners are roasting.
