Black History

During Black History Week, our class studied Ruby Bridges.

We were amazed at the strength a 6 year child child showed whilst being segregated from all her white class mates.

We watched videos, listened to interviews from Ruby and wrote letters in role as Ruby, asking the children at her school to accept her.

We were very touched by her story and were shocked by the way people of colour had been treated.
