Reading Books
Children will now bring home a reading book each Friday. Could you please work alongside your child over the weekend and support them with their sound / word / reading book that they have brought home?
Please look at the first page of your child's reading record if you would like some additional guidance on how you may help and support your child with their reading.
Could reading books please be returned to school by Tuesday (at the latest) of each week?
It is really helpful if parents/carers make a comment in their child's reading record. This helps staff at school to understand how much support and guidance a child may have needed at home. It also provides both school and parents with another opportunity to communicate about children's progress.
If you have any questions about reading books then please do not hesitate to ask.
