Overview
All pupils will be given an opportunity to learn the Spanish foreign language. They will be taught to express their ideas and thoughts in this language, to understand and respond to its speakers, both in speech and in writing. The learning of the Spanish language will also provide opportunities for them to communicate for practical purposes and learn new ways of thinking in this language.
Work in School
At Greenfield Primary School, we enjoy learning the Spanish language. We constantly promote this language throughout school on a daily basis by answering the register in Spanish, singing 'Happy Birthday' to pupils in Spanish, using Spanish throughout our celebration assemblies.
We also host a Spanish themed day during the Summer months where the children will explore the Spanish culture further by taste testing different Spanish foods, experiencing a Spanish dancing session and dressing up in Spanish colours and themed clothes.
