LETTERS TO PARENTS
28.06.22 - Spanish Day
Today was our whole school Spanish day and we dressed in Spanish colours. We learnt how to dance Flamenco style. We then made little routines in groups and performed them to the class with some Spanish music in the background. We had lots of fun!
World Music Day - Sweet Caroline
27.05.22 - Jubilee Day
Today, the whole school celebrated the Queen's Jubilee. We learnt the National anthem, had a picnic outside, saw a fire engine and learnt all about a fireman's job, wore clothes that represented the colours of the Union Jack and had a party with games, inflatables and bouncy castles on the school field. We had so much fun!
05.04.22 - These children decorated an egg for Easter and showed it to the class! Amazing work! Well done!

Today was World Book Day. We had lot of fun and did lots of different activities. We focused on the story of 'Snow White' this week. We designed magic mirrors, acted out the story and designed our own characters.

01.03.22 Pancake Day!
Today, we celebrated pancake day by designing our pancakes with our favourite toppings and had a pancake tossing competition!
We had lots of fun!

13.12.21- Christmas Party!
We all had so much fun at our Christmas party today! We played games, sang songs, danced and had some party food!
We even had a virtual video message sent to us from Father Christmas all the way from his workshop in the North Pole!

10.12.21- Year 1 School Trip - Rochdale Fire Museum
We had a fantastic time today on our school trip. We went to Rochdale Fire Museum and learnt lots more about the Great Fire of London! We all had lots of fun and really enjoyed it! We sat in a real fire engine!
19.11.21 - Children in Need
Today, we had a super day for Children in Need. We dressed sparkly and spotty and played lots of games and did some dancing. We had lots of fun! Well done Everyone!
15.10.21 - Spooky Day!
We have had a super day celebrating Spooky Day at school. We have taken part in lots of fun activities and also had played some spooky games and had spooky disco in class. The Year 1 children also had a competition to see who could pull the scariest face. It has been a super day and everyone scared Miss Cassinelli with their costumes!

Year 1
Today, we were learning about instructions in our Literacy lesson. Miss Cassinelli was an alien and we had to give her instructions to make a jam sandwich. It was really funny because when we said 'put the jam on the bread', Miss Cassinelli put the whole jam jar on the bread! We learnt that we needed to be very specific when we give our instructions.

Our First Week!
We have had a very exciting week in Reception/Year 1 Ash. The Reception children have settled into class so well and have had enjoyed meeting and playing with new friends from both Elm and Ash class.
The Year 1s have settled really well into their more structured routine and have been very busy.
We are very proud of all the children this week! Well done everyone!
