'How to train your dragon' by Cressida Cowell

 

Class 4 have started their new whole class read how to train your dragon. This is a story about Hiccup a Viking boy trying the pass the Dragon initiation programme with a toothless dragon, so he can be part of the hairy hooligan tribe. Will he become a Viking hero? 

 

The children's English work will be based upon this novel starting with a report on dragons. They have got some amazing, creative ideas, I can't wait to show you the finished pieces. They will also be writing their own instruction on how to train a dragon, hoping to give the characters some advice.

Class novel

 

Within English we have been looking at the novel Bill's new frock by Anne Fine.This is a story where, Bill Simpson wakes up to find he's a girl and worse his mother makes him wear a frilly pick dress to school. We are looking at whether life is different as the opposite gender?
