Curriculum Overview
Intent
Our curriculum has been designed to promote and sustain a thirst for knowledge and understanding and a love of learning. We intend to cover a wide range of subjects and provide opportunities for academic, creative and sporting excellence. Emphasis will be placed on acquiring, developing and applying core skills in reading, writing, communication and mathematics.
Implementation
At Greenfield Primary School, after a discussion and analysis of our children’s backgrounds, experiences and culture we are implementing a broad and balanced curriculum ensuring excellence and enjoyment underpins every subject. We are working in all areas of learning to promote opportunities to enable our children to successfully meet the challenges of the next stage of their education and beyond.
Impact
Children have experienced a broad and balanced curriculum allowing them to have widened and deepened their essential knowledge, skills, understanding and learning behaviours enabling them to meet the challenges of the next step of their education.
