    At the beginning of the academic year, the children drew a picture of their families. We saved these pictures until the end of the year and repeated this activity and were impressed with the difference. What wonderful progress our children have made.

    • 50 things to do before you're five 50 Things to Do helps parents develop their home learning environment so that far more children thrive by the age of five. As a result, more children develop the skills, language and resilience needed in school and beyond.
    • Hungry Little Minds Children take everything in. They love it when you chat, play and read with them, even when they're too young to understand everything. You can turn almost anything into a game. And every little thing you do together will help set them up nicely for the day they start school. Short videos and simple, fun activities that you and your children can do together.
    • Childcare Choices Government help with childcare costs for parents. Whether you have toddlers or teens, you could get support.
    • Tax-Free Childcare / Oldham Council Tax-Free Childcare is a government scheme to support working parents with childcare costs. If eligible, you set up an online childcare account which you can use to pay your childcare provider directly.
    • Free Early Education for 2 year olds 15 hours of free childcare or early education is available to families that meet certain eligibility criteria from the term after your child's 2nd birthday.
    • Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) Children who are currently claiming the Free Entitlement for 3 and 4 year olds in Oldham, who meet certain eligibility criteria, could be eligible for the Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP). The Early Years Pupil Premium is additional funding available for investment in improving outcomes for children.
