Coronation 2023

The School Council had the opportunity to meet the School Council from St Margarets School as part of the Linking Project. They completed many activities and focused on building both teamwork and leadership skills and developed their understanding of democracy and what it means to live in a democratic society . The School Council also learnt lots of information regarding the current Mayor of Oldham and previous Mayors! The children also had the chance to sit in the Mayor's seat in the Council chambers and use the microphones to offer answers and speak as if they were at a real council meeting.
